# Geoblocked US States

> US state-level restrictions for staking services

## Overview

In response to increasing U.S. regulatory scrutiny around staking, Yield.xyz provides optional state-level geoblocking. These restrictions follow patterns adopted by platforms like Coinbase.

## Jurisdiction-Based Blocks

| **California**     | State Pending Litigation |
| **Maryland**       | State Pending Litigation |

| **South Carolina** | State Pending Litigation |

## Yield-Based Blocks

Certain yields may be blocked in specific jurisdictions due to ongoing litigation:

| Asset - Provider      | Rationale                                     |
| --------------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| **stETH** - Lido      | Pending litigation; subject of SEC complaints |
| **stMATIC** - Lido    | Pending litigation; subject of SEC complaints |
| **rETH** - RocketPool | Pending litigation; subject of SEC complaints |
