# Agent skills

> See which yield.xyz skills exist, what each one does, and how to load them into an agent.

A yield.xyz skill is a Markdown instruction file (`SKILL.md`) that tells an AI agent how to do one job against the yield.xyz [MCP server](/documentation/ai-agents/mcp-server): which tools to call, in what order, and which rules to follow. Every AgentKit plugin bundles exactly one skill, and every skill also installs standalone, without the plugin or MCP wiring.

## Available skills

Five skills ship from the [`stakekit/agentkit`](https://github.com/stakekit/agentkit) repository, one per plugin:

| Skill | What it does |
| - | - |
| `yield-xyz-agentkit` | The base skill. Discovers yields, inspects a yield's schema, and builds unsigned enter/exit/manage transactions. Holds no keys and signs nothing. |
| `yield-xyz-agentkit-builder` | Generates the code you ship to integrate yield.xyz: REST calls or `@yieldxyz/sdk`, scaffolded projects or code wired into an existing app. See [AgentKit for builders](/documentation/ai-agents/integrate/agentkit-for-builders). |
| `yield-xyz-agentkit-privy` | Extends the base skill with Privy: wallet creation, policy enforcement, signing, and broadcasting, in autonomous or enterprise-approval modes. |
| `yield-xyz-agentkit-moonpay` | Extends the base skill with MoonPay: wallet auth, signing, and broadcasting. Requires both the yield.xyz MCP and the MoonPay MCP connected. |
| `yield-xyz-agentkit-robinhood` | Extends the base skill with Robinhood Chain (mainnet, chain ID 4663) configuration and wallet funding guidance. Signing is identical to any other EVM chain, so bring your own EVM signer. |

Every skill except the builder is for running yields: discovering them, building transactions, and (with a connector) signing and broadcasting. The builder skill is for writing an integration instead of running one. See [AgentKit for builders](/documentation/ai-agents/integrate/agentkit-for-builders) for what it generates.

  `yield-xyz-agentkit-privy`, `yield-xyz-agentkit-moonpay`, and `yield-xyz-agentkit-robinhood` each depend on `yield-xyz-agentkit` for discovery and transaction building. They only add how the result gets signed and broadcast.

## How skills are loaded

**Bundled in a plugin (Claude Code).** Installing an [AgentKit plugin](/documentation/ai-agents/agentkit/claude-code) installs its matching skill and, for the base and builder plugins, registers the MCP connection automatically. Use this path if you work in Claude Code.

**Standalone, without the plugin.** Install any skill on its own, with no MCP wiring:

This opens an interactive picker across all five skills. To install one specific skill directly:

npx skills add stakekit/agentkit --skill yield-xyz-agentkit-builder
```

Swap in `yield-xyz-agentkit`, `yield-xyz-agentkit-privy`, `yield-xyz-agentkit-moonpay`, or `yield-xyz-agentkit-robinhood` for the other skills. A standalone skill sets up the MCP connection on request rather than wiring it at install time, so it works with any MCP-compatible agent, including Codex and Gemini CLI, not only Claude Code.

## Prerequisites

* A yield.xyz API key for production use. Get one from [Projects & API keys](/documentation/get-started/projects-api-keys).
* An MCP-compatible agent. Claude Code is the primary target for the bundled-plugin path; standalone skills work with any agent that can read a `SKILL.md` and connect to an MCP server.
