# Kamino

> Supply assets to Kamino's K-Lend markets or deposit into a curated Kamino Vault on Solana.

Kamino Finance runs Solana lending markets (K-Lend) and single-asset vaults that allocate deposits across those markets. yield.xyz integrates both as separate yield types: Kamino Lending (`lending`) and Kamino Vaults (`vault`).

## Kamino Lending

You supply an asset directly to a K-Lend reserve and earn interest paid by borrowers. Reserves span Kamino's Main Market plus several isolated markets curated for individual assets, such as the Jupiter, Ethena, JLP, and Bonk markets.

Query [`GET /v1/yields?providers=kamino&type=lending`](/api-reference/YieldsController_getYields) for the live list. Yield IDs for the Main Market follow `solana-kamino-{token}-lending`; isolated-market reserves follow `solana-kamino-{market}-{token}-{tokenAddressPrefix}-lending`, where `tokenAddressPrefix` is the first 8 characters of the reserve's token mint address.

### Entering and exiting (Lending)

Enter with `amount`; on your first deposit into a reserve, yield.xyz checks that your wallet holds enough SOL to cover the new obligation account's rent. Exit with `amount` or `useMaxAmount`, optionally passing `receiverAddress` to route the withdrawn asset to another address in the same request.

## Kamino Vaults

A Kamino Vault takes a single-asset deposit and allocates it across Kamino lending reserves under a curator's risk mandate, rebalancing over time. You receive vault shares; their value grows against the deposited asset via the vault's `tokensPerShare` rate. The "Sentora PYUSD" vault, for example, is a Kamino vault curated by Sentora; its yields carry the `kamino` provider ID.

Retired vaults are excluded; check `status.enter`/`status.exit` on the yield object rather than assuming every listed vault ID accepts deposits. Query [`GET /v1/yields?providers=kamino&types=vault`](/api-reference/YieldsController_getYields) for the live list. Yield IDs follow `solana-kamino-{token}-{vaultAddressPrefix}-vault`, where `vaultAddressPrefix` is the first 8 characters of the vault's address.

### Entering and exiting (Vaults)

Enter with `amount`; some vaults enforce a minimum deposit, surfaced in the yield's `mechanics.arguments.enter` schema. Exit with `amount` or `useMaxAmount`, optionally with `receiverAddress` as above; some vaults also enforce a minimum withdrawal amount.

## Rewards and position

Both yield types can carry an additional farm incentive token alongside the base asset. When one is pending, it appears as a separate `claimable` balance with a manual `CLAIM_REWARDS` pending action.

Kamino positions also support an `AUTO_SWEEP_WITHDRAW_REWARDS` pending action that withdraws accrued value without a full exit; see the [API reference](/api-reference/ActionsController_manageYield).

<Note>
  Kamino also runs a KMNO staking yield (`solana-kamino-staking`) that boosts KMNO rewards on your lending and vault positions. It is a staking yield, not a DeFi lending or vault position, and isn't covered on this page.
