# Benqi

> Stake AVAX with Benqi on Avalanche to receive sAVAX, with a 15-day cooldown and a 2-day claim window.

The Benqi integration deposits native AVAX into Benqi's liquid staking contract on Avalanche C-Chain and returns sAVAX, an exchange-rate liquid staking token.

## Availability

| Network | Input token | Receipt token |
| - | - | - |
| Avalanche C-Chain | AVAX | sAVAX |

Yield ID: `avalanche-avax-liquid-staking`. Query [`GET /v1/yields?providers=benqi`](/api-reference/YieldsController_getYields) for the current listing enabled for your project.

## Entering

A single transaction stakes AVAX and mints sAVAX at the current exchange rate; there is no separate approval step for the native-token deposit.

## Exiting

An exit request queues sAVAX for redemption. Benqi's metadata sets a 15 day `cooldownPeriod`, followed by a 2 day claim window (`withdrawPeriod`) during which the `CLAIM_UNSTAKED` pending action releases the AVAX. If the claim window elapses before you submit `CLAIM_UNSTAKED`, the balance moves to `locked` and carries a `RESTAKE` pending action instead: submitting it returns the position to `active` so you can request an exit again.

<Warning>
  Missing the 2-day claim window locks the AVAX until you submit `RESTAKE`. Track the balance's pending actions to avoid the extra round trip.
</Warning>

## Rewards and position

The sAVAX/AVAX exchange rate rises as staking rewards accrue; `rewardClaiming` is automatic and there is no separate claim step for the base reward.
