# Mantle

> Stake ETH for mETH on Ethereum through Mantle; exiting is not available through this integration.

Mantle issues mETH, an exchange-rate liquid staking token. yield.xyz supports entering this position only.

Yield ID: `ethereum-eth-meth-staking`. Query [`GET /v1/yields?providers=mantle`](/api-reference/YieldsController_getYields) for the Mantle yield enabled for your project.

## Entering

Entering takes `amount`, at least the minimum Mantle's staking contract requires at request time, and stakes ETH to mint mETH. While Mantle has staking paused, `status.enter` is `false`.

<Warning>
  Exiting mETH is not available through yield.xyz: `status.exit` is always `false` and exit actions are not built. To leave the position, redeem or trade mETH outside yield.xyz. The yield's metadata still carries a 5-day `cooldownPeriod`, which does not apply because no exit path exists.

## Rewards and position

mETH is an exchange-rate token: the balance stays constant while its ETH value rises as staking rewards accrue. Reward claiming is automatic. Which fee types you can configure on this yield is listed in `mechanics.possibleFeeTakingMechanisms`; see [Monetization](/documentation/earn/monetization).
