# Rocket Pool

> Swap ETH for rETH on Ethereum through Rocket Pool's router, and exit back to ETH through a routed swap with no cooldown.

Rocket Pool issues rETH, an exchange-rate liquid staking token. On this yield both entering and exiting execute as swaps rather than a protocol deposit or withdrawal queue.

## Availability

| Network | Input token | Receipt token |
| - | - | - |
| Ethereum | ETH | rETH |

Yield ID: `ethereum-eth-reth-staking`. Query [`GET /v1/yields?providers=rocket-pool`](/api-reference/YieldsController_getYields) for the Rocket Pool yield enabled for your project.

## Entering

Entering takes `amount` and swaps ETH for rETH through Rocket Pool's swap router. The action fails if the router price falls outside a 20 basis point tolerance of the protocol exchange rate; it does not fall back to a direct protocol deposit.

## Exiting

Exiting takes `amount` and swaps rETH back to ETH through a LI.FI-routed swap, with an approval step first. Neither path has a cooldown or withdrawal queue, and `status.enter` and `status.exit` are always `true`.

## Rewards and position

rETH is an exchange-rate token: the balance stays constant while its ETH value rises as staking rewards accrue. Reward claiming is automatic. Which fee types you can configure on this yield is listed in `mechanics.possibleFeeTakingMechanisms`; see [Monetization](/documentation/earn/monetization).
