# Restaking

> Deposit ETH or a liquid staking token with Ether.fi, KelpDAO, or Renzo to receive a liquid restaking token.

Restaking integrations take ETH or a liquid staking token and deposit it into a protocol that layers additional yield and additional risk on top of base Ethereum staking. Every current restaking integration returns a liquid restaking token (eETH, rsETH or wrsETH, ezETH), so yield.xyz exposes restaking as a single section with the public `type` `restaking`.

<Note>
  Liquid staking tokens and liquid restaking tokens share the same underlying mechanic: your balance either rebases or its exchange rate against the deposit token rises as rewards accrue. See [Staking types](/documentation/earn/staking/types) for that concept; this section covers restaking-specific mechanics.
</Note>

## Protocols

| Protocol | Networks | Deposit → receive | Exit model |
| - | - | - | - |
| [Ether.fi](/documentation/earn/defi/restaking/etherfi) | Ethereum | ETH, stETH, wBETH, or cbETH → eETH | Exit request, cooldown, then a `WITHDRAW` pending action |
| [KelpDAO](/documentation/earn/defi/restaking/kelpdao) | Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum | stETH, sfrxETH, or ETHx on Ethereum; ETH on the L2s → rsETH (wrsETH on Base and Optimism) | Ethereum: exit request with a required `outputToken`, then cooldown and a `WITHDRAW` pending action. L2s: exit is not available through yield.xyz |
| [Renzo](/documentation/earn/defi/restaking/renzo) | Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Linea | ETH, stETH, or wBETH on Ethereum; ETH on the L2s → ezETH | Ethereum: withdraw queue with a cooldown, then a claim. L2s: exit is not available through yield.xyz |

Query [`GET /v1/yields?types=restaking`](/api-reference/YieldsController_getYields) for the restaking yields enabled for your project; see [Discover yields](/documentation/earn/core-concepts/discover) for filtering and pagination.

## Rewards and points

Every integration on this page reflects the base staking yield in the receipt token's balance or exchange rate, with `rewardClaiming` set to automatic: there is no manual claim step for the base reward. Ether.fi, Renzo, and KelpDAO all list "EigenLayer Points" among their reward tokens, alongside a protocol-specific points token (Ether.fi Loyalty Points, Renzo Points, KelpDAO Miles). Points accrual is reported by the protocol, not by yield.xyz, and is separate from the reward-claiming flow.
