# Bittensor

> What yield.xyz supports on Bittensor: native TAO staking to the root network or to a subnet.

Bittensor carries native TAO staking, to the root network or to an individual subnet. Discover live opportunities and route them through the standard enter, exit, and manage actions.

## Network facts

| | |
| - | - |
| Network ID | `bittensor` (the value used in the API `network` field) |
| API category | `substrate` |
| Gas token | TAO |

## Available on Bittensor

| Category | What's available | Coverage |
| - | - | - |
| Staking | Root staking; subnet staking | [Bittensor staking](/documentation/earn/staking/non-evm/bittensor) |

## Integration notes

Both Bittensor staking yields take a required `subnetId` argument: `0` for root staking, the subnet's ID (greater than 0) for subnet staking.
