# Monad staking

> Delegate MON to a Monad validator with per-epoch rewards and a roughly 6-hour unstaking period, mainnet only.

Delegate MON to a validator on Monad mainnet. A delegation starts earning from the following epoch; rewards accrue per epoch and are claimed or restaked manually rather than auto-compounded.

## Enter and exit

Enter with `amount` and `validatorAddress`, both required. A delegation made in epoch N starts earning from epoch N+1.

Exit with `amount` and `validatorAddress` to undelegate. The exit is scheduled against Monad's epoch boundary blocks: if requested before the current epoch's boundary block, it is picked up in the next epoch; if requested at or after it, it rolls to the following epoch instead.

## Managing the position

| Action | What it does |

| `CLAIM_REWARDS` | Claim the accrued rewards balance to the available balance |
| `RESTAKE_REWARDS` | Claim and restake the rewards balance to compound the position |
| `WITHDRAW` | Withdraw the undelegated balance once the unstaking period completes |
