# Solana staking

> Stake SOL natively across multiple validators, through Marinade, or into Kamino points, with liquid options for mSOL and (legacy) stSOL.

Stake SOL on Solana through native validator delegation, Marinade's native staking product, or a liquid-staking token. Native delegation creates one on-chain stake account per validator; liquid rows issue a receipt token instead.

## Yields

| Yield ID | Staking type | Provider | Validator selection |
| - | - | - | - |
| `solana-sol-native-multivalidator-staking` | Native | yield.xyz | Required |
| `solana-sol-marinade-native-max-yield-staking` | Pooled | Marinade | Not applicable |
| [`solana-sol-marinade-staking`](/documentation/earn/defi/liquid-staking/marinade) | Liquid | Marinade | Not applicable |
| [`solana-sol-lido-staking`](/documentation/earn/defi/liquid-staking/lido) | Liquid | Lido | Required (exit only) |
| `solana-kamino-staking` | Native | Kamino | Not applicable |

<Note>
  The two liquid rows are documented on their DeFi liquid-staking pages: [Marinade](/documentation/earn/defi/liquid-staking/marinade) (mSOL) and [Lido](/documentation/earn/defi/liquid-staking/lido) (stSOL, exit only). This page covers native, pooled, and KMNO staking.

## Native multi-validator staking

Each enter action creates a new stake account and delegates it to the validator you pass in `validatorAddress`; staking with several validators means one enter action per validator, each producing its own stake account.

### Key facts

| | |
| - | - |
| Network ID | `solana` |
| Staked token | SOL |
| Unbonding | 3 days |
| Warmup | 3 days before the position earns rewards |
| Minimum | Determined at request time from the network's minimum delegation plus the rent-exempt reserve, not a fixed amount |
| Rewards | Auto-compounded, updated every epoch |

### Enter and exit

Enter takes `amount` and a required `validatorAddress` (the validator's vote account). Exit takes `amount` and the same `validatorAddress`; it deactivates the matching stake accounts (splitting a stake account when only part of it unstakes) and, once the 3-day unbonding period ends, the balance becomes a `withdrawable` balance and is claimed with a pending action.

<Warning>
  Unstaked SOL is not spendable until you run `WITHDRAW` (or `WITHDRAW_ALL`) after unbonding completes.
</Warning>

### Managing the position

| Action | What it does |
| - | - |
| `WITHDRAW` | Withdraws one unstaked stake account back to the available balance |
| `WITHDRAW_ALL` | Withdraws every unstaked stake account in a single request |
| `AUTO_SWEEP_UNSTAKE_REWARDS` | Unstakes a given amount and, optionally, routes it toward a swap |
| `AUTO_SWEEP_WITHDRAW_REWARDS` | Withdraws inactive stake accounts up to a requested amount and can route the result to a receiver address |

## Marinade Native staking

`solana-sol-marinade-native-max-yield-staking` stakes SOL through Marinade's native staking product: no receipt token, no validator argument, Marinade selects and manages the underlying validators. Enter and exit both take only `amount`, with a minimum resolved dynamically from on-chain state at request time. Exit is followed by a `WITHDRAW` pending action once Marinade's unstake ticket matures.

## Kamino KMNO staking

`solana-kamino-staking` stakes KMNO to earn Kamino points; it has no cooldown or warmup period. This yield pays no token rewards: rewards are points-based only, per the integration's own description. Enter and exit take only `amount` (minimum 0); there is no validator argument. A single `AUTO_SWEEP_WITHDRAW_REWARDS` pending action is available.
