# Sui staking

> Delegate SUI to a validator with a 1-day warmup, no unbonding period, and rewards that auto-compound.

Delegate SUI to a validator through the Yield API. Positions start earning after a 1-day warmup; there is no separate unbonding period once you exit.

## Enter and exit

Enter takes `amount` and a required `validatorAddress`. Exit takes only `validatorAddress`: it unstakes the entire position held with that validator in one action, no partial-amount exit.
