An LPing yield represents one pool on one network: you deposit the pool’s assets, receive a position that represents your share of the pool, and earn a portion of the trading fees the pool generates. yield.xyz exposes two distinct position models under this category.

Yield types

Curve also runs separate, non-LP lending vaults. Those are a different product, documented at Lending › Curve.

Enter and exit

Both integrations use the standard enter and exit action model. The arguments differ by position model because a classic pool and a concentrated position need different inputs:
  • Classic pools (Curve): entering supplies an amounts array, one entry per pool asset in the same order as the yield’s input tokens; entries can be "0" to skip an asset. Exiting supplies a single amount of the LP token to burn.
  • Concentrated pools (PancakeSwap): entering supplies one input token’s amount plus an optional price range (rangeMin / rangeMax); omitting both opens a full-range position. Exiting supplies the position’s tokenId and a percentage of it to remove.
See the full argument schema in the yield’s mechanics.arguments, or GET /v1/yields/{yieldId}.

Rewards and position value

A classic LP token’s value against the pool’s assets rises as trading fees accrue: reward claiming is automatic and there is no separate claim step. A concentrated liquidity position instead accrues fees as a claimable balance on the position, separate from the underlying liquidity, and claiming requires a manual action. See each protocol’s page for specifics.
