Request and manage Meta Vaults (multi-strategy OAVs) from the Allocator Vaults table on your project page in the yield.xyz dashboard. You choose the strategies, weights, and fees; yield.xyz deploys the vault on-chain and enables it as a yield ID for your project. This section only appears for teams with OAVs enabled; contact yield.xyz if you don’t see it.

Configure a Meta Vault

1

Start a request

On your project page, go to Allocator Vaults and click Create OAV (or Create your first OAV if none exist yet).

2

Select network and deposit token

Choose a Network and a deposit Token from the tokens available to your project. This selection scopes which yields you can add as strategies in the next step.

3

Select strategies and set weights

Search Find Yield and check up to 5 yields to include as strategies. Each time you add or remove a yield, the dashboard redistributes weights equally across the selected yields. To set custom weights, turn off Optimization mode and edit the weight field next to each yield; the total must equal 100% before you can continue. With Optimization mode on, weight inputs are hidden and the optimization engine rebalances the vault toward the highest APY instead.

Name the vault and set fees

Set the OAV name, then enter the fee inputs the form supports: Management Fee (in BPS), Performance Fee (in BPS), and Deposit Fee (in BPS), each from 1 to 5,000 bps. Click Create to submit the request.

Naming the Meta Vault and setting its fee inputs

The dashboard form accepts up to 5,000 bps per fee, but the on-chain vault contract bounds what can actually be applied, and performance fees above 2,000 bps (20%) are never charged. Agree your target fee levels with yield.xyz before submitting; see Monetization.

What happens after you submit

Submitting the form creates a request with status REQUESTED, holding your selected strategies, weights, optimization mode, fee inputs, network, and deposit token.

A submitted OAV request

This part is yield.xyz-assisted, not self-service: yield.xyz deploys the on-chain vault, sets its roles, and enables it as a yield ID scoped to your project. Once deployed, the request’s status becomes LIVE.

Monitor status

Track a vault’s status, optimization mode, fees, and aggregate APY directly in the Allocator Vaults table:

Once a vault is LIVE, its yield ID appears in GET /v1/yields for your project like any other enabled yield; see Discover yields.

Edit an existing Meta Vault

Open the row’s action menu and select Edit OAV to change, subject to yield.xyz review:
  • The strategy list (add or remove yields, up to 5)
  • Target weights (editable when optimization mode is off)
  • The optimization mode toggle
  • Fees (management, performance, deposit)
  • Whether the vault is active
Submitting changes sets the request back to a pending state for yield.xyz to apply; the table’s Status column reflects the current state.
