Yield IDs follow
{network}-{token}-aave-v3-lending, for example polygon-usdc-aave-v3-lending. Query GET /v1/yields?providers=aave&types=lending for the reserves enabled for your project; the set of listed reserves differs by network.
Entering
Enter takes a requiredamount and an optional receiverAddress to mint the aToken to a different address than the sender. yield.xyz builds an approval transaction (skipped if allowance already covers the amount) followed by the supply transaction. Aave issues the aToken in the same transaction, so interest starts accruing immediately.
yield.xyz blocks entering when Aave has frozen the reserve, or when the reserve’s current supply rate is zero; exit stays available in both cases. Some reserves also enforce a per-reserve supply cap on Aave’s side; once a reserve is at its cap, new supplies revert on-chain.
Exiting
Exit takes an optionalamount, a useMaxAmount flag to redeem the full aToken balance, and an optional receiverAddress. Aave burns the aToken and returns the underlying asset in the same transaction. There is no cooldown or unbonding step.
Rewards and position
The aToken is pegged 1:1 to the underlying asset (pricePerShare is always 1); interest accrues by increasing your aToken balance over time rather than by changing its price. The public rewardRate on the yield reflects Aave’s live variable supply rate, computed from the reserve’s on-chain utilization, not a fixed or historical figure.
Reward claiming is automatic: there is no separate claim step or pending action for interest. A small number of reserves also carry a secondary reward token that accrues alongside interest; check the yield’s rewardRate.components[].token rather than assuming a single-token payout.
