Delegate AVAX to a validator on the Avalanche Primary Network, or hold sAVAX, a liquid receipt token issued by Benqi. Native delegation runs from a C-Chain address; the integration handles the required C-to-P transfers.

Yields

Key facts

Native delegation is term-locked rather than cooldown-gated: you choose a duration between 14 and 365 days when you enter, and the delegated AVAX cannot be exited before that term ends. Rewards are not streamed; they are paid once, at term end, net of the validator’s fee.

Enter and exit

Enter native staking with amount (25 AVAX minimum), validatorAddress, and duration (14 to 365 days), all required. There is no exit action: once delegated, funds stay locked until the term you chose ends. After the term ends, the position unlocks and becomes withdrawable. Liquid staking (sAVAX) only requires amount to enter and supports exit at any time, subject to Benqi’s own redemption mechanics; see the Benqi liquid staking page.
